Review: GLOW RECIPE Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream
Do you have oily to combination skin? Do a lot of moisturizers break you out a lot? If so, might I suggest a product that may help you. I’ve been using Glow Recipe’s Banana Souffle Moisture Cream for over 3 months now and I love it. Smell is important to me and this baby has a nice scent similar to a banana Now N Later candy. It’s synthetic smelling, yes, but it’s not nauseating if you know what I mean.
The ingredients are also a factor of course. Not only does the cream provide enough moisture for oily to combination skin, it also tones and calms it with turmeric, banana and magnesium. I have acne scars, also known as hyperpigmentation, so this is extremely useful in fixing that.
Compared to other moisturizers I’ve tried, including Cerave, GLOW RECIPE Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream is lightweight. The soft yellow appearance has a whipped, yogurt looking texture that feels like aloe vera gel. This makes for a suitable day time lotion to the face and neck. No need for extra emollients but if you have dry skin and, or it’s the winter season, add your favorite face oil to your routine.
In 89 degree weather, the moisturizer holds up very well with minimal facial glistening later in the day. It’s nothing a few blots a paper napkin can’t handle. Do I recommend this product? Absolutely. At $39, one jar will last you at least 3 months or more if you use it twice a day. I use mine’s once a day in the morning and I still haven’t reached the middle. Also note, I have very sensitive skin and this has not left me with any breakouts or greasy feeling. Use it alone or with a face oil, it’s all up to you. If you shop at Sephora, ask the beauty specialists for a take home sample and see for yourself. Enjoy. (See below for usage after first wear in the day compared to 10 hours later).
